Cascade Concrete Sawing & Drilling, one of Western Washington’s premier concrete sawing and drilling companies, is now accepting applications for our Controller / Office Manager position.  This is a full-time position with excellent pay and benefits. This is a fast-paced business where multitasking is essential.  A lot of your time will be spent on the financial side of the business in addition to reading and editing contracts.  Teamwork is essential in this business, you will be working with the office staff, estimators, shop personnel, the dispatch team in addition to interacting with our customers (contractors, property owners and homeowners).  This position reports directly to the General Manager. Our ideal Controller / Office Manager would have:
  • Minimum of 3 years in the construction industry.
  • Previous experience as a Controller / Office Manager (construction industry preferably).
  • Prior knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite in addition to financial software programs.

  This Controller / Office Manager position is directly responsible for:
  • Reading, editing, and negotiating contracts.
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly financial reports and accuracy.
  • Financial preparedness.
  • Bank Reconciliations.
  • Overseeing the A/R process and applying payments.
  • Overseeing the A/P process and ensuring payments are made on time.
  • Assisting the office staff with computer issues, training, etc.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Helping to create and implement effective office policies and procedures.
  • Ensure cross training for office personnel.
  • Assist estimators with change orders and other paperwork issues.
  • Run monthly office staff meeting and participate in weekly managers meetings.
  • Monthly, Quarterly and Annual B&O/Sales Tax filings.
  • A liaison with our Insurance Company to order customer COI’s and complete yearly applications in addition to asking questions.
  • Annual audits for Insurance, Unions, Emp Sec, L&I and assist with IRS audits.
  • Quarterly employee and city tax filings.
  • Assist in yearly Health Insurance review and vetting new and different options.
  • Backup other office staff positions when they are out of the office.
  • Asking questions and challenging the status quo.
  • Request help when needed.

Diesel mechanic

We are looking for a mechanic to join our growing company. the individual in this role will be responsible for servicing trucks brought into the shop, for basic maintenance to full automotive service.

Auto mechanic duties and responsibilities:

  • Examine trucks based on operator requests and/or concerns
  • Perform basic maintenance including rotating tires, checking fluid levels, and changing oil
  • Repair or replace worn parts and systems such as glow plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors
  • Test systems and individual parts to ensure proper working order and/or to evaluate degree of damage
  • Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems
  • Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both computerized diagnostic equipment and the naked eye
  • Determine appropriate repair measures based on research, peer to peer examination and past experience
  • Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately
  • Ensure operator satisfactions at all times

Auto mechanic requirements and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair preferred
  • Experience in engine performance preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Certification in a related field from a vocational school a plus
  • Schedule: monday–friday8-5 1 hour lunch
  • $18 hour depending on experience
  • Must be able to pass a ua and a background check and have a current driver’s license

Concrete Slab Saw / Core Drill Operator

Cascade has immediate opening for Experienced Concrete Cutting Technicians. Cascade Concrete Sawing & Drilling has been providing concrete sawing, drilling and demolition services to the Pacific Northwest since 1980. Cascade is a DRUG FREE workplace.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Possess a valid driver's license and provide current DMV driving record
  • Able to work days, nights and weekends.
  • Adhere to all Company, State and Federal safety rules and regulations
  • Working knowledge of diamond tools: core drill and flat saw (gas, electric, hydraulic a +)
  • Must have a minimum of two years’ core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting and/or removal experience.
